1. Gucci
Number of Gucci stores in China by the end of 2015 was 60.
- Gucci’s sales in China for the first half of 2011, were up 39 percent from the previous year.
- Gucci has successfully seen consistent 50% a year growth rates for their stores in China.
2. Dior
Number of Dior stores in China by the end of 2015 was 22.
- In 2016, Dior became the first to sell top-end bags through WeChat. These limited edition bags, valued at 28,000 yuan (or US$4200), all sold out the next day.
3. Hermes
Number of Hermes stores in China by the end of 2015 was 22.
- The French brand’s sales in Asia (excluding Japan) rose 17 per cent in the first half of 2014.
4. Armani
Number of Armani stores in China by the end of 2015 was 154.
- Armani’s operating profit rose 20% in 2012.
- Armani sales in China jumped 39% in 2012, but still slowed from the 45 per cent growth the year before.
5. Burberry
Number of Burberry stores in China by the end of 2015 was 55.
- Sales in Asia accounted for 38% of the company’s retail and wholesale revenue in 2015/16.
- Earlier in 2017, Burberry saw a 2% sales growth due to use of KOL Kris Wu.
6. Louis Vuitton
Number of Louis Vuitton stores in China by the end of 2015 was 44.
- Despite economic slowdown in China, Louis Vuitton’s 2015 revenue climbed 16% to about €35.7 billion.
- Louis Vuitton’s profit jumped by 64% the year prior.
